EMS Department Services
If your volunteer fire department, EMS Service, or combined department is in need of new apparatus, equipment, or training funding for your EMT and paramedic personnel, we may be able to help you through leasing agreements, federal grants, state grants, or fund-raising campaigns. Many EMS services do receive insurance payments, thus have some form of revenue generation for their services. Unfortunately, to maintain adequate staffing, many EMS services must have paid professionals, who are also volunteer firefighter, and the EMS service is part of a VFD, to help retain the tax exemption as a non-profit organization under the IRS Code. Our comprehensive approach is also unique in that we do not charge you any costs or fees up front and we work diligently to make sure we can obtain the funding, grants and donations to help you not only pay for our services, but to comply with the requirements of some grants, such as the Department of Homeland Security's Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) regulations to have the grantee contribute with non-federal matching funds of 10% for service populations less than 50,000. We do similarly when obtaining the tax-exempt lease of apparatus and equipment purchases for you. With the lease agreements, here again there is NO costs or fees paid by your EMS department, until after the lease is secured and in many cases our fees can be part of the lease agreement, or we will finance these for you ourselves under very generous and easy terms. We have many sources for these types of leases and we may also help you get the paperwork assembled to go to the apparatus manufacturer to use their tax-exempt leasing opportunities, so that you and your department only needs to worry about keeping up your skills, training and saving lives. Even if your EMS service and/or volunteer fire department receives some grants from your state, we will work with you to attempt to increase these and help you to better manage these resources. This is especially true for continuous training and maintenance of all necessary credentials for each member and the organization as a whole.
